We provide our consortium members with full access to all our course presentations. All our Driver CPC courses are JAUPT approved, are reviewed regularly and submitted for approval each year. Most of our course presentations are *dual, so you can teach them to both HGV and PCV drivers.

Emergency First Aid at Work for Drivers

Get 2 courses in one! This driver CPC training course is mainly practical and arms the professional driver with the Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, PLUS it will count towards their 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training.

N.B. You will need to be accredited with a level 3 teaching qualification in First Aid to deliver this course

Safeguarding & Customer Care

This course looks at how to improve drivers' ability to understand and deal with passengers, particularly those with disabilities or young persons and vulnerable adults. Drivers will be able to demonstrate best practice in customer service, be able to identify hidden and visible disabilities and how to interact with and convey safely passengers who are affected. They will also be able to identify signs of child abuse or exploitation and pathways or reporting. The course will look at best practice in dealing with young persons and vulnerable adults in a professional manner and understand drivers responsibilities when dealing with passengers, escalation, and problem-solving.

Type - PCV 7 hour course

The Carriage of Children and Access for All

This useful course enables drivers to better understand their legal and professional obligations regarding their conduct and the carriage of school children and people of differing abilities so that they can provide a safe and enjoyable service to all customers.

Drivers will know which legislation applies to the carriage of people with disabilities (inc. PSVAR) and the carriage of young people. The course dives into driver concerns when travelling with schoolchildren and the safety implications for schoolchildren and other customers of disruptive customer behaviour. We also look at how to respond to challenging situations and manage child behaviour in a positive way, resolving conflict in a constructive manner, raising concerns regarding child welfare with appropriate agencies, and understanding professional codes of conduct (as specified by DVSA). The driver will learn how to better assist customers with disabilities when using a passenger-carrying vehicle and know how to use the equipment provided effectively.
